DEAR KIDS AND DEAR GROWNUPS!
This is the place to be – open your eyes and prick up your ears at the 14th Mo&Friese Children’s Short Film Festival!
The waiting has come to an end and now at last we can proclaim: The curtain will rise for Mo&Friese! We will supply you with loads of films from all over the world. You will be amazed and amused. You will sympathise and contemplate. But also, be prepared for many surprises…
On Whit Monday, the 28th May 2012 at 3 p.m., it’s the festival’s grand opening with drums beating and trumpets sounding! For a whole week we will celebrate 58 movies from 23 countries with small and big film fans.
Our Mo&Friese Children’s Short Film Festival has reached it’s teenage years: The festival is 14 years old and half as old as its bigger sister, the International Short Film Festival. However, we are neither old nor deaf. On the contrary: this year Mo&Friese will prick up their ears and listen very carefully. Because this time, it’s all about sound and music! The movies and games of our opening will tickle your ears, as the special programme will do too: Here we will talk big and sound loud. Join us and listen with us. You will discover in what way images and sounds can belong together. In our film workshops before the festival we would like very young filmmakers to become active and listen carefully.
And because Children’s Short Films don’t only excite children but also their parents, grandparents and older siblings, we offer the Mo&Friese Late Night performance and show films on 31st of May at 9:45 p.m. for all ages in the 3001 cinema.
The competition winners will receive their awards on Sunday, 3rd June at 2 p.m. at our award ceremony in the zeise hallen. Our children’s jury will present them with the prizes thanks to our sponsors GEOlino and the Levantehaus.
