Bye, bye Friese!

Our fluffy Friese trophy is going on a big journey today. Because the Friese award winner Matthew Moore from Australia couldn't be present at the big award ceremony, it's now on Friese to slip in a padded envelope and cross continents and oceans to get finally to his proud owner.

Have a safe journey, Friese!

Your Mo&Friese Team

We did it!!

We watched, matched and pieced them all together: A selection of thrilling movies came to our eyes and many colourful cards were arranged and rearranged repeatedly. Behind each colour card there is a hidden movie treasure.

We are really excited abour our Mo&Friese 2012 programme!

If you look closely, you can even spot Mo&Friese in the picture...

We go screening!

Finally it’s this time of the year again: we`ve got an incredible number of exciting shorts submitted to the festival. Therefore we are looking forward to our annual screeningtrip to watch them all in a hidden farmhouse at the country side. Equipped with a cuddle pillow, hot-water-bottle, sweatpants and a lot of chocolate, we will dive into the different worlds of short film to select the best films for you to watch!

Greetings from your Mo&Friese Team

Festivalleitung

IT´S BOOKED!

....Pay for a round of film education....

Next to the theatre and the museum, the cinema is a welcome alternative to the class room:

learning about film history, understanding film language, gaining insight into the contexts of film production, distinguishing film genres and meeting the filmmakers. In a nutshell, a visit to the cinema offers the possibility to acquire media competence „live and directly.

Unfortunately, there is only short time and little space left for film education in everyday school-life. Pupils can only visit a few cultural events because their budget is limited and thus, it is especially the so-regarded „popular“ culture cinema that does not get enough attention.

To change this situation, the Mo&Friese Children’s Short Film Festival is looking for supporters who enable school classes to visit the festival by donating money!

By donating 100.- € you can invite a whole school class to the cinema and thus fill the auditorium with many curios and excited children.

Of course, we cordially invite each donor to the opening of the festival. If you wish, we add your name (or the logo of the donating company) to the festival trailer which will be shown before each screening.

And the winners are....

The grand finale of the 13th Mo&Friese Children's ShortFilmFestival, which takes place in the course of the International ShortFilmFestival Hamburg, was the award ceremony on June 12.

Two prices have been awarded by two children jurys: the Friese-Award for the films of the programmes 4+ and 6+ and the Mo-Award for the films of the programmes 9+ and 12+. Each award is worth 1250 Euro.

The two winning films as well as the winners of the "High Five!-Competition“ were screened during the ceremony.
